The selected reading which was called The Super Story. the author of this passage or little essay is Thomas L. Friedman.
Some of the reasoning’s for Friedman discussion on globalization is so he can get some of the man conflicts across to people that may be ignoring the major issues in the economy or in the social community, and maybe other countries as well. With that said Friedman wrote a couple of short essays on some of the key issues that had occurred in the pass couple of years.
Some of the essays which Friedman wrote was as following the first passage stated that 9/11 did not happen in a vacuum, but 9/11 happen in context of a new international system- a system that cannot explain everything. With that’s said I feel that as the reader of that following advice Friedman gave us as the readers is some what a proven fact. Why do I believe that this statement in the passage is a fact, is because many people think that 9/11 just happened very randomly no it had to be a well thought out plain by other nations that where in on it. The other half of the passage is explaining the key relevant of the international system, which may be the cold war as well as the world war. I believe that this part of the passage is true as well in many ways is because I believe that the U.S has to communicate with countries that are willing to communicate with them.
Last but not least another topic which I as the reader felt that stuck out at me is when the writer of the passage wrote in his exact words the globalization system is different. What he means is that globalization is different, for example lets say that im a company coming up in the world but in order for me to come up I have to know someone high in status that is more important and not to mention maybe more popular or higher in command, it goes for small countries as well they have to know a bigger country or become friends or allies with that bigger country to move up in command. The whole process which I am talking about comes down to one word and that is networking. The key phrase you have to know some one that know some one who knows someone!
