The news plays a big roll in society in many ways is because they pick out ethnic groups such as African Americans and say that they are the most violent people on earth. For example in Pittsburgh the news will have to stories which may deal with the same thing which may be in a suburban area with high income American citizens and the second a low income neighborhood which is predominantly many nationalities and ethnic groups, the media will go to the low income neighborhood just because they feel that the story will be better because it is different ethnic groups killing each other what a better way to put them down and say how violent they are.
Last but not least the media does the same thing with terries attacks, the media hype the terriost threats up so people will be scared but really they don’t tell the American public that they are at a higher risk to die from a car crash or other substance, such as rap, fire in a burning building, and gunshot from a robber!!
